Outstanding and regal Japanese Azalea Konigstein is a dense, evergreen shrub with small, broad, lance-shaped dark green leaves which remain all year round. In late spring, rounded clusters of ruffled, funnel-shaped violet flowers bloom, continuing to bloom until early summer. After 10 years, it grows to about 1–1.2 m in height and 50–60 cm in width, forming a wide, flat-spherical form. Its pink, small flowers cover the entire shrub in large numbers, making it an impressive splash of color in the garden
